Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Arrival - Kandy

Ayubowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka. Your guide will greet you at the airport and you'll immediately proceed to Kandy, the island's cultural capital. After checking into your hotel, you will visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic. In the evening, witness a vibrant cultural show featuring traditional Kandyan dancers and drummers.

Day 2: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, begin the breathtaking scenic drive into the central highlands. The journey to Nuwara Eliya, or 'Little England', will take you past lush green valleys, tea bushes, and cascading waterfalls. You'll stop at a tea plantation and factory to learn how pure Ceylon tea is processed, from the leaf to the cup.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Ella

Today you will experience a true highlight of Sri Lanka. Your guide will take you to the Nanu Oya station for the iconic train journey to Ella. This ride is famed as one of the most beautiful in the world, offering stunning views of misty mountains and vast tea estates. Your guide will meet you upon arrival at the picturesque Ella station.

Day 4: Ella

A full day to explore the beautiful and relaxed highland village of Ella. In the morning, you can take a gentle hike up Little Adam's Peak for panoramic views of the Ella Gap. Afterwards, visit the magnificent Nine Arch Bridge, a marvel of colonial engineering set amidst lush greenery. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax.

Day 5: Ella

Yala Enjoy breakfast in the hills before descending to Sri Lanka's dry zone. On the way, you'll stop to see the legendary Ravana Falls. You'll then proceed to Tissamaharama or Yala, the gateway to Sri Lanka's most famous national park. In the afternoon, you will go on a 4x4 safari in Yala National Park, which has one of the world's highest densities of leopards.

Day 6: Yala - Galle - Bentota

You have the option for an early morning safari (additional cost) for another chance to spot wildlife. After breakfast, you will travel along the stunning southern coast. Your first stop is the city of Galle, where you'll explore the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk its cobblestone streets, see the famous lighthouse, and browse its charming boutiques before continuing to the beach resort of Bentota.

Day 7: Bentota

A full day of leisure to enjoy the tropical paradise of Bentota. Relax on the wide, golden beach, swim in the warm Indian Ocean, or simply enjoy your hotel's amenities. For those seeking activity, Bentota is famous for its water sports, and you can also take an optional boat safari on the tranquil Madu River.

Day 8: Bentota - Colombo

After a final beach breakfast, you will take a short drive to Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a city tour, visiting key sites like Independence Square, the Gangaramaya Temple, and the vibrant Pettah market for some last-minute souvenir shopping. Enjoy a final dinner in the city.

Day 9: Colombo - Airport

Depending on your flight schedule, you can enjoy a final Sri Lankan breakfast. Your guide will then transfer you to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your departure.
